Setup Outlook 2013 With Microsoft Exchange 2010

Outlook 2013 is the latest version of the email manager program developed by the tech giant Microsoft. Follow the simple Outlook setting instructions given below for setting up Outlook 2013 with Microsoft Exchange 2010.

Instructions
  • Launch the Outlook program by double clicking on its shortcut icon found in the desktop and then click on the Search option found under the Charms menu option in the left side of application window. 
  • Click on the Settings option found under the Mail tab in the Search option and then click on the option labeled Show Profiles.
  • Now click on the Add button for adding a new profile in the Outlook program and then give a name of your choice.
  • To configure the server settings, choose the option Manual setup or additional server types and then select Microsoft Exchange Server or compatible service. 
  • Click on the Next button to continue. 
  • Configure the server with the Outlook setting as shown below.
  1. Server: Outlook 
  2. User Name: enter your full email address with domain name.
  3. Set the Offline Settings as Use Cached Exchange Mode and set the duration to three months. You need to enable this setting for storing your emails in your computer.
  • Now click on the More Settings tab and then on the Advanced tab. 
  • Put a check mark in the box found next to the option Connect to Microsoft Exchange using HTTP and then click on Exchange Proxy Settings. 
  • Now set the proxy settings as shown below by putting a check mark on the boxes beside the options. 
  • Connect using SSL only
  1. Only connect to proxy servers
  2. On fast networks
  3. On slow networks
  • Now enter connect.emailsrvr.com in the first field found in the window and msstd:connect.emailsrvr.com in the second field found just below the first field in the proxy settings window.
  • Remember to change the authentication of the proxy server to Basic Authentication and then click on the OK button.
  • Now when the process asks you to enter your email and password, enter those and then click on the Next button followed by the Finish button to complete the configuration.
